We are conducting a registry study to understand the use, effectiveness and safety of an approved injectable medicine for asthma in daily life.
There may be no immediate benefit to those participating in this study, but the information learned may help you, your child, or other people with asthma in the future. Being in this study is voluntary. You can leave at any time.
Who is the study for?
The study is for those who:
- Are aged 12 years and older.
- Have an asthma diagnosis by a healthcare provider.
- Are starting a specific injectable medication approved in your country for moderate-to-severe asthma.
- Are able to answer questionnaires about living with asthma.
- You do not need insurance to join.
- During the study you may receive compensation for completing study-related questionnaires.
What happens during the study?
This study will collect data from your regular visits to the doctor for asthma for up to 3 years (approximately 15 study visits).
Participation will not require any additional visits to the doctor/ clinic.
- Adult participants and parents/guardians will review and sign an Informed Consent Form. Child participants will review and sign an Informed Assent Form. These forms contain all the information about the study. Make sure you understand the study and ask questions. Signing the form means agreeing to enter the study.
- If your doctor thinks you or your child are a good fit for the study, the study doctor or nurse will explain the study details to you.
Will the study provide medicine for patients to take?
- No medications will be given by Regeneron (the study sponsor) as part of this study.
- Any treatment received while in the study is part of normal care and is decided by you and your doctor.
Will the doctor do any testing for my asthma as part of the study?
- No, there will not be any tests for the study done by the doctor.
- Data from tests that are part of routine care for asthma may be collected from your medical chart. These include breathing tests, laboratory blood tests, and medical history.
What kinds of questions do I need to answer while I am in the study?
- You/your child will also be asked to complete questionnaires during each study visit.
- Questionnaires will be completed on an electronic tablet at each visit.
- These questionnaires will ask questions about symptoms, quality of life, physical activity, and use of healthcare resources.
- All participants will complete questionnaires related to asthma. You/your child may complete more questionnaires if you/your child have other skin or respiratory conditions.
- You may receive compensation for completing these study-related questionnaires.
